Privacy Policy

The short version

• You can use every calculator, and read the whole ranking, without signing in.
• If you don't sign in, your calculations stay in your own browser and are never sent to us.
• Rating a university needs an account, because each student counts once per university.
• Nobody can see how you rated a university. Not other students, and not the university. Only the combined averages are ever published.
• There is no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking on this site.
• The only cookies set are the ones that keep you signed in, and they are set only if you sign in.

What we store, and when

Calculations you enter

Your semesters, courses, credit hours and grades are saved in your browser's local storage as you type, so you don't lose them when you close the tab. While you are signed out, that data never leaves your device.

If you sign in, the same data is also saved to your account so it follows you to another device. It is stored per university and per calculator, and row-level security means only your own account can read it.

Account details

Signing in with email creates an account holding your email address and an encrypted password (we never see the password itself). Signing in with Google shares your email address and basic profile information with us; we do not receive your Google password or anything else from your Google account.

Ratings you give a university

If you rate a university, we store the scores you gave each factor, which university they were for, your account's user ID, and when you last changed them. There is no free-text review anywhere in the product, so there is nothing you can write that could identify you.

Your individual rating is private. Row-level security in the database restricts it to your own account: no other student, and no university, can read what you personally gave. What the site publishes is a separate table of combined averages that carries no user ID at all, so a published score can't be traced back to the people who made it.

You may change your rating whenever you like, and asking us to delete it removes it from the averages on the next recalculation. Bear in mind that on a university only a few students have rated, the combined average will still shift visibly when a rating is added or removed.

Messages you send us

If you use the contact form or report a problem, we receive your name, your email address, your message, and which page you were looking at. We use it to reply and to fix what you reported, and for nothing else.

Cookies

Campus Plus sets cookies for one purpose: keeping you signed in. These are session and refresh tokens issued by our authentication provider, and they are set only after you sign in. They are strictly necessary to provide the account feature you asked for.

We do not set analytics, advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies, and no third party sets cookies through this site. That is why you are not being asked to accept a cookie banner: under the ePrivacy rules, consent is required for non-essential cookies, and we don't use any. If that ever changes, this page will change first and you will be asked before anything non-essential is set.

Local storage is used to hold your calculator state. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to any server while you are signed out, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Who processes your data

• Supabase. Authentication and database hosting for accounts, saved calculations and university ratings.
• Resend. Delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
• Our hosting provider. Serves the site and processes standard server request logs.

These providers process data on our instructions to run the service. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Keeping and deleting data

Saved calculations and university ratings are kept while your account exists. Contact messages are kept while they are useful for support, and then deleted.

You can clear browser-stored calculations yourself at any time, and change or withdraw any rating from that university's rating page. To get your account and everything attached to it deleted, email us from the address you signed up with and we will do it. Deleting your account deletes your ratings with it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ask through the contact page and we will respond.

Children

Campus Plus is intended for university students and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it. Material changes to what we collect will be made clear on the site rather than buried here.
